What will you do during the day?
As an experienced paver, you will ensure that paving work is installed, repaired and maintained professionally, safely and according to schedule. Approximately half of the company’s activities consist of paving, sewer and groundwork.
You will work on different types of projects. One day, you may carry out smaller service or maintenance activities, while on another project you may contribute to the complete redevelopment of a street, square, park or avenue. Depending on the assignment, you will work independently or together with experienced colleagues.
Accuracy, craftsmanship and safe working practices are important. You have an eye for quality and contribute to achieving the project objectives within the agreed schedule.
Your duties will include:
Installing, repairing and maintaining different types of paving;
Preparing, levelling and compacting the ground;
Installing different types of paving materials;
Setting and installing kerbstones, drainage channels, gullies and manholes;
Carrying out paving, groundwork and sewer-related activities;
Performing smaller service and maintenance activities;
Working on streets, squares, parks, avenues and other public outdoor spaces;
Reading and working according to technical drawings and instructions;
Working closely with colleagues, supervisors and other professionals;
Ensuring that all work is carried out safely, neatly and to a high standard.
What do we expect from you?
We are looking for an experienced paver who can work independently but also functions well as part of a team. You have a practical attitude, work accurately and understand the importance of quality and safety.
We ask that you:
Have relevant experience as a paver;
Preferably hold a vocational qualification as a paving assistant, paver or a comparable practical qualification;
Candidates without a formal qualification but with sufficient demonstrable practical experience are also encouraged to apply;
Hold a valid VCA Basic Safety certificate or are willing to obtain one;
Hold a valid category B driving licence; a BE driving licence is a strong advantage;
Live in Central or North Limburg, East Brabant or within reasonable travelling distance of the projects;
Are able to work both independently and as part of a team;
Are motivated, reliable and keep your agreements;
Have sufficient command of Dutch, English or German to communicate and work safely.
